(John GENERAL NOTES: 1. 0.17' Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must be placed in one (1) layer with Geosynthetic Pavement Interlayer (Paving Fabric) placed on existing surface. Z. 0.25' Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must be place in two (2) layers of approximately equal thickness. 3. Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must not begin until the Hot Mix Asphalt used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. 4. Placement of Hat Mix Asphait Driveways must not begin until the Hot Mix Asphalt used for Mainline Paving has been completed. 5. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 6. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 7. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place, unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 8. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re -testing will be paid by the Contractor. 9. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear ani expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. 10. The Contractor must notify the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities Department at (209) 937-8725 seventy two (72) hours in advance of adjusting the City's facilities to finished grade. Refer to the City's Standards for adjusting facilities to grade. 11. The Contractor is to remove and dispose all existing Thermoplastic Pavement Markings as shown on the Plans. The cost of this work is to be included in the various items of work involved. 12. The Contractor must take necessary precautions to prevent any damage to stamped asphalt concrete crosswalk areas at Sierra Lane and Waterloo Road intersection. In the event that such damage should occur from the Contractor's operations, the Contractor shall repair or replace or bring to original condition the damaged stamped asphalt concrete crosswalk at the Contractor's expense. 13. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete pavement will be required next to the lip of gutter and at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within the Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand grinding will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement. 14. Payment for Saw Cutting asphalt concrete frontages will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement.
