The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so <br />as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />3. <br />All earthwork, except for final grading of the shoulders, shall be completed prior to placing final layer of Asphalt Concrete. No <br />Shoulder Backing shall be deposited or drifted on the final lift of <br />asphalt concrete surfacing. Where the Shoulder Backing placement exceeds 0.30' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing shall be placed <br />in two fully compacted layers of approximately equal thickness. <br />4. <br />Placement of AC overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used in pavement repair has been in place for 18 hours. <br />cn <br />5. <br />Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall be placed in one (1) layer placed over Leveling Course with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed <br />on top of leveling course. <br />6. <br />Shoulder backing material at all intersection radii shall receive penetration treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the <br />Penetration Treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii <br />D <br />plus fifty feet (50') in each direction. <br />M <br />7. <br />Hand Grinding of Asphalt Concrete Pavement will be required at locations where utility covers or monument boxes <br />are within the planing areas.
