Placement of AC overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used in pavement repair has been in place for 18 hours. 5. Asphalt Concrete overlay shall be placed in Two (2) Layers of approximately equal thickness with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed on the existing surface. 6. Shoulder backing material at all intersection radii shall receive penetration treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction. 7. Loam shall be used in place of Shoulder Backing at the grass frontages located at Sta 42+15 to Sta 43+40 (Right) and Sta 44+75 to Sta 45+55 (Left). Payment for loam should be considered as included in the unit price paid for Shoulder Backing. 8• The Contractor is required to enter into an agreement with the CCTC Railroad for work within their R/W.
