The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so <br />as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />3. <br />All earthwork, except for final grading of <br />the shoulders, shall be completed prior to placing final layer of Asphalt Concrete. No <br />Shoulder Backing shall be deposited or drifted on the final lift of <br />asphalt concrete surfacing. Where the Shoulder Backing placement exceeds 0.30' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing shall be placed <br />in two fully compacted layers of approximately equal thickness. <br />4. <br />Placement of AC overlay shall not begin <br />until the Asphalt Concrete used in pavement repair has been in place for 18 hours. <br />5. <br />Asphalt Concrete overlay shall be placed <br />in Two (2) Layers of approximately equal thickness with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric <br />placed on the existing surface. <br />6. <br />Shoulder backing material at all intersection radii shall receive penetration treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the <br />Penetration Treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii <br />plus fifty feet (50') in each direction. <br />7. <br />Loam shall be used in place of Shoulder <br />Backing at the grass frontages located at Sta 42+15 to Sta 43+40 (Right) and Sta <br />44+75 to Sta 45+55 (Left). Payment for loam should be <br />considered as included in the unit price <br />paid for Shoulder Backing. <br />8• <br />The Contractor is required to enter into <br />an agreement with the CCTC Railroad for work within their R/W.
