Placement of Asphalt Concrete overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used in <br />Pavement Repair has been in place for 18 hours. <br />2. 0.25' Asphalt concrete overlay shall be placed in two (2) layers of approximate equal <br />thickness and 0.17' Asphalt concrete overlay shall be placed_ in one (1) Layer with <br />Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed on existing surface_ <br />3. All earthwork (except for final shoulder grading) shall be completed prior to placing final <br />layer of Asphalt Concrete. No Shoulder Backing shall be deposited or drifted on the final <br />layer of Asphalt Concrete surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.30' in <br />thickness, the Shoulder Backing shall be placed in two (2) fully compacted layers of <br />approximate equal thickness. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities, including bollards, roadside signs, trees, shrubs, <br />fences, utility poles and other frontage improvements shall remain in place unless <br />otherwise noted. <br />5. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive penetration treatment at <br />0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of penetration treatment work shall be confined to <br />intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to intersection conform. <br />6.
