The Contractor shall obtain an Encroachment Permit from the City of Stockton for traffic control within the City's jurisdiction. LEGEND: <br />Payment for this shall be considered to be included in the various items of work. <br />2. Existing drainage facilities shall remain in place, unless otherwise noted. <br />3. Street side Storm Drain Inlets shall be protected from liquid runoff, sediments, and chemical pollutants in a manner consistent with the <br />requirements of the National Pollution Discharge Eliminating System (NPDES) General Construction Permit and per Special Provisions. <br />4. All existing driveway part circle culverts shall be removed and disposed of, with payment considered as included in the Clearing and <br />Grubbing item of work. <br />5. All existing trees, shrubs, fences and other frontage improvements are to remain in place, unless otherwise noted. <br />6 All existing Curb Gutter and Sidewalk that is to be removed shall be saw cut to the limits shown on the plans. Sprinkler relocation and repair, as required for concrete work shall be done by Contractor. Payment for this shall be considered as included in the Minor Concrete (Curb, <br />Gutter and Sidewalk) item of work. <br />8. Expansion Joints shall be placed at locations where new Curb,. Gutter and Sidewalk conforms to existing Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk, and driveways. All new Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk shall conform <br />to the existing flowline elevations, with a straight grade between conforms. <br />9. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete pavement will be required at locations where utility, covers or maintenance holes are within the planing areas. Payment for hand grinding shall be considered as <br />included in the contract unit price paid for Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement, <br />10. Placement of Asphalt Concrete overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used in Pavement Repair and AC (Miscellaneous Areas) has been in place for 18 hours. <br />11. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform to the standard specifications.
