The Contractor shall obtain an Encroachment Permit from the Department of Transportation (Caltrans) <br />for traffic control within the State's Jurisdiction. Payment for this shall be considered to be included in <br />the various items of work. <br />2. All existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailbox and other frontage improvements shall remain in place,, <br />unless noted on the plans. <br />3. Existing drainage facilities shall remain in place, unless otherwise noted. The Contractor shall conduct <br />earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />4. Placement of all Asphalt Concrete Driveways shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used for Mainline Paving <br />has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />7. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon per square <br />yard. Limits of Penetration Treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each <br />direction or to intersection conform. <br />8. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling the inspection and testing of all facilities <br />constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform to the Standard Specifications. All re -testing shall be <br />paid for by the Contractor. <br />9. Remove and dispose existing metal mail box post at Station 24+70 (Left).
