s y 0 r m m z 0 GENERAL NOTES: 1. 0.25' Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall be placed in two (2) layers; 0.15' Asphalt Concrete Overlay over 0.10' Asphalt Concrete Overlay with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed between the layers. 2. Placement of Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. 3. Placement of Asphalt Concrete Driveways shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used for Mainline Paving has been completed. 4. Existing highway and utility facilities shall remain in place unless otherwise noted. 5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements shall remain in place unless otherwise noted. 6. Existing drainage facilities shall remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 7. Existing native material or fill material selected from Earthwork (Miscellaneous Areas) and Pavement Repair locations shall be graded to match the existing roadway cross slope and the designed lane width distance from the existing yellow line as shown on the typical sections and plans. Existing pavement that is wider than shown on the typical sections and plans shall be saw cut, pulverized and recompacted in kind up to a thickness of 0.30'. 8. All earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, shall be completed prior to placing the final layer of Asphalt Concrete Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material shall be deposited or drifted on the final layer of Asphalt Concrete surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.30' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing shall be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. 9. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection conform. 10. For areas where the existing shoulder (within four (4) feet from new edge of pavement) is sod, topsoil shall be used as the shoulder backing material. Locations are as follows: Frederick Avenue: 115+23 to 115+45 (Lt) 145+60 to 147+00 (Lt) 11. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing shall be paid by the Contractor.
