Placement of Asphalt Concrete <br />overlay <br />shall <br />not <br />begin until <br />the <br />Asphalt Concrete <br />used in Pavement Repair has <br />been in <br />place <br />for <br />a minimum <br />of <br />18 hours. <br />2. The 0.25' Asphalt Concrete shall be placed in two (2) layers. of approximately equal <br />thickness with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed over the first the layer. <br />3. Placement of Asphalt Concrete Driveways shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete <br />used for Mainline Paving has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />4. No Shoulder Backing material shall be deposited or drifted on the final layer of <br />Asphalt Concrete surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.30' in <br />thickness, the Shoulder Backing shall be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted <br />layers of approximate equal thickness. <br />5. The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct <br />the existing drainage. <br />6. Existing highway and utility facilities, including roadside signs, trees, shrubs, fences, <br />.utility poles and other frontage improvements shall remain in place unless otherwise <br />noted. <br />7. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive Penetration Treatment <br />at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work shall be <br />confined to the intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the <br />intersection conform. <br />8. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing <br />of all facilities constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform to the <br />Standard Specifications. All re—testing shall be paid by the Contractor. <br />COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN �No SCALE <br />9. Minor structure (Sta 86+78 to Sta 86+91), cross drain pipes (9 <br />locations throughout), and driveway pipes (9 locations throughout) <br />shall be cleaned and paid for under the Cleaning Existing Drainage <br />Facilities item, and no additional compensation will be made <br />thereof.
