Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must not begin until the Hot Mix <br />Asphalt used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 <br />hourS, <br />3. Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Driveways must not begin until the Hot Mix <br />Asphalt used for Mainline Paving has been completed. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise <br />noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements <br />must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place, unless otherwise noted. <br />The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or <br />obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to <br />placing the final layer of Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement. No Shoulder Backing <br />material will be deposited or drifted on the final layer of Hot Mix Asphalt <br />surfacing. where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the <br />Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. <br />8. Shoulder'Backing material at all intersection radii must receive Penetration <br />Treatment at 0.25 gallon per square yard. Limits of Penetration Treatment <br />work must be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each <br />direction or to intersection conform. <br />9. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection <br />and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum <br />24 hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard <br />Specifications. All re -testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />10. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from the City of Lodi <br />and State of California for traffic control or any work with the City's and <br />State's jurisdiction. Payment for this will be considered to be included in <br />the various items of work. <br />11. The Contractor must enter into an Agreement with the Central California <br />Traction Company for any work within the Railroad's right-of-way. See <br />SECTION 5-1.20C Railroad Relations of the Specifications for further details. <br />12.
