All existing trees, shrubs, fences and other frontage improvements are to remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />2. Existing drainage facilities shall remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />3. Removal of AC Dikes where shown on the plan shall be done in such a manner as not to damage the existing AC surface below the dike. <br />4. Placement of AC overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used in pavement repair has been in place for 18 hours. <br />5. Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall be placed in one (1) layer placed over Leveling Course with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed on top of leveling course. <br />6. All earthwork, except for final grading of the shoulders, shall be completed prior to placing final layer of Asphalt Concrete. No Shoulder Backing shall be deposited or drifted on the <br />final lift of asphalt concrete surfacing. Where the Shoulder Backing placement exceeds 0.30' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing shall be placed in two fully compacted layers. <br />7. Shoulder backing material at all intersection radii shall receive penetration treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard.
