Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in <br />Pavement Repair has been in place for minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used <br />for Mainline Paving has been completed. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless <br />otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage <br />improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise <br />noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as <br />not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii must receive <br />Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of <br />the Penetration Treatment work must be confined to intersection <br />radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection <br />conform. <br />8. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling <br />inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this <br />contract with a minimum 24 hour prior notice to the County. <br />All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All <br />re -testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />9. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve <br />survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all <br />survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement <br />and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. <br />10. Prior to commencing any work, it will be the Contractor's <br />responsibility to have each utility company locate in the field <br />their main service lines and laterals. The Contractor must <br />notify members of the Underground Service Alert (U.S.A.) 48 <br />hours in advance of performing excavation work by calling the <br />toll free number (1-800-642-2444) or 811 <br />11. Core data is unavailable; however, anticipate varying layers of <br />base and roadway surfacing materials within the sectional <br />planing depth of the existing roadway. <br />12. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be <br />completed prior to placing the final layer of HMA Pavement. <br />No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted onto <br />the final layer of HMA surfacing.
