Placement of Asphalt Concrete overlay shall not begin until the <br />Asphalt Concrete used in Pavement Repair has been in place <br />for 18 hours. <br />2. 0.21' Asphalt concrete overlay shall be placed in two (2) layers <br />of approximate equal thickness with pavement reinforcing fabric <br />placed on existing surface. <br />3. All earthwork (except for final shoulder grading) shall be completed <br />prior to placing final layer of Asphalt Concrete. No Shoulder <br />Backing shall be deposited or drifted on the final layer of <br />Asphalt Concrete surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds <br />0.30' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing shall be placed in <br />two (2) fully compacted layers of approximate equal thickness. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities, including bollards, roadside <br />signs, trees, shrubs, fences, utility poles and other frontage <br />improvements shall remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />5. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive <br />penetration treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of <br />penetration treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii <br />plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to intersection conform. <br />6. The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so as not to <br />modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. The Contractor shall obtain an Encroachment Permit and enter <br />into an agreement with Stockton Terminal and Eastern Railroad <br />for work within ST&E Railroad Right—of—way. <br />8. The Contractor shall obtain an Encroachment Permit from the <br />City of Stockton prior to placing Advance Warning Signs within <br />the City Right—of—way. Cost of Permit shall be included in <br />Items of Work. <br />9.
