Placement of Asphalt Concrete overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete used in Pavement Repair has been in place for 18 hours. 2. 0.21' Asphalt concrete overlay shall be placed in two (2) layers of approximate equal thickness with pavement reinforcing fabric placed on existing surface. 3. All earthwork (except for final shoulder grading) shall be completed prior to placing final layer of Asphalt Concrete. No Shoulder Backing shall be deposited or drifted on the final layer of Asphalt Concrete surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.30' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing shall be placed in two (2) fully compacted layers of approximate equal thickness. 4. Existing highway and utility facilities, including bollards, roadside signs, trees, shrubs, fences, utility poles and other frontage improvements shall remain in place unless otherwise noted. 5. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive penetration treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of penetration treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to intersection conform. 6. The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 7. The Contractor shall obtain an Encroachment Permit and enter into an agreement with Stockton Terminal and Eastern Railroad for work within ST&E Railroad Right—of—way. 8. The Contractor shall obtain an Encroachment Permit from the City of Stockton prior to placing Advance Warning Signs within the City Right—of—way. Cost of Permit shall be included in Items of Work. 9. Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Holes and Lampholes Frames and Covers shall be be adjusted per City of Stockton's Standards. Refer to Improvement Standard Drawing No. 39, 54, 58 & 59.
