Pavement Reinforcing Fabric to be placed on the existing surface. <br />2. All new Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk shall conform to the existing flowline <br />elevations, with a straight grade between conforms. <br />3. Contractor shall place detectable warning surfaces at locations within <br />the project limits where Curb Ramps exist without the detectable <br />warning surface. The cost for this item is to be included in the <br />Retrofit Curb Ramp Detectable Warning Surface item of work. <br />4. Install Expansion Joints at beginning and end of new sections of <br />Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk. <br />5. All existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage <br />improvements are to remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii shall receive <br />Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the <br />Penetration Treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii <br />plus twenty five feet (25') in each direction or to intersection conform. <br />7. Hand Grinding of Asphalt Concrete Pavement will be required at <br />locations where water valves, monuments and maintenance holes <br />are within the Planing and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for <br />Hand Grinding shall be considered as included in the contract <br />unit price paid for Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement. <br />8. Street side Storm Drain Inlets shall be protected from liquid runoff <br />sediments and ch^miral pollutant in a manner consistent witl- +be <br />requirements of ti,„ National Pollution Discharge Elimination -,seem <br />(NPDES) General Construction Permit and per Special Provisions. <br />9. At locations greater than 10 LF in length where the existing and <br />the current standard CG&S join, a 3' transition shall be constructed <br />(match existing CG&S at locations 10 LF or less). The cost of the saw <br />cutting will be included in the Minor Concrete (Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk) <br />item of work. <br />10. Remove Thermoplastic Traffic Stripes on Indiana Street at Sta 10+55 to <br />Sta 10+74 and Sta 26+15 to Sta 26+25.
