One week prior to the start of work, the contractor shall <br />furnish to the Engineer a schedule showing proposed street <br />closures on each half—day basis. All intersection radii within project limits shall be sealed <br />to lip of existing curb and gutter or edge of pavement. <br />3. Before slurry seal is to be applied to any area, the cV) <br />Contractor shall protect all utility covers, including but not <br />limited to manholes, water valves, and survey monument <br />frames and covers. Additionally, the oversized pavement <br />markers at the intersections of San Rafael Avenue and Project Street a_ <br />Stadium Drive and San Rafael Avenue and Fulton Street / <br />are to be protected. <br />4. Surface preparation work shall be as directed by the <br />Engineer. Locations and dimensions of pavement repair will <br />be determined by the Engineer and shall be completed prior <br />to placing slurry seal. <br />5. The Aggregate for Latex Modified Slurry Seal shall be Type II. <br />6. Slurry seal coat of part circle culvert area is included in <br />quantities shown for individual streets. <br />7. The Contractor is to remove all existing Thermoplastic <br />Pavement Markings in all areas. The cost for this work <br />is to be included in the contract prices paid for Remove <br />Thermoplastic Pavement Marking item of work, and no <br />additional compensation will be allowed therefore. <br />8.
