The Contractor shall obtain an Encroachment Permit <br />from Caltrans for all work and signing within the State <br />Right of Way. <br />2. All earthwork, except for the final layer of Shoulder <br />Backing, shall be completed prior to placing the final <br />layer of Asphalt Concrete surfacing. No Shoulder <br />Backing shall be deposited or drifted onto the final <br />layer of Asphalt Concrete surfacing. <br />3. All Pavement Repair must be completed 18 hours prior <br />to placement of Asphalt Concrete. <br />4. The Asphalt Concrete (0.25'-0.35' resurfacing) shall be <br />placed in two (2) layers of approximately equal <br />thickness with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed on <br />existing or prepared surface. <br />5. The Contractor shall conduct the Shoulder Backing <br />operations so as not to disturb any existing drainage. <br />6. After sufficient drying, the Shoulder Backing material at <br />all intersection radii shall receive Penetration Treatment <br />at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration <br />Treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii <br />plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the <br />intersection conform at a 4' width. <br />7. Place Survey Monument Frame and Cover at the <br />location listed on Summary of Quantities sheet. <br />8. Decorative rocks/boulders are to be relocated 4' from <br />EP as part of Clearing and Grubbing. <br />9.
