Empire Street, Jersey Street, Porter Way, Stewart Street, Webb Street: <br />Plane Asphalt Concrete Roadways 0.17' and replace with 0.17' Asphalt Concrete. <br />Guernsey Avenue: <br />0.17' Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall be placed in one (1) layer with Pavement <br />Reinforcing Fabric placed on the existing or prepared surface. <br />Marfargoa Drive: <br />0.15' Asphalt Concrete Overlay over Var Depth Asphalt Concrete Leveling with <br />Pavement Reinforcing Mesh placed between the layers. <br />Orford Road: <br />0.25' Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall be placed in two (2) layers of approximate <br />equal thickness with Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed on the existing or <br />prepared surface. <br />Section Avenue: <br />0.20' Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall be placed in one (1) layer with Pavement <br />Reinforcing Fabric placed on the existing or prepared surface. <br />2. Placement of Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete <br />used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. All earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, shall be completed prior to <br />placing the final layer of Asphalt Concrete Pavement. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities, including roadside signs, trees, <br />shrubs, fences etc. shall remain in place unless otherwise noted on the plans. <br />5. Shoulder Backing Material at all intersection radii and along both sides of Section <br />Avenue shall receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/SY. Limits of Penetration <br />Treatment work shall be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each <br />direction or to intersection conform. <br />6. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and <br />testing of all facilities constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform <br />to the Standard Specifications. All re -testing shail be paid by the Contractor. <br />7. Street side Storm Drain Inlets shall be protected from liquid runoff sediments <br />and chemical pollutant in a manner consistent with the requirements of the <br />National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). General Construction <br />Permit and per Special Provisions. <br />8. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete will be required at locations where existing <br />monuments, lamphole and maintenance holes are within the Planing and <br />Pavement Repair limits. <br />9. Shoulder areas on Section Avenue and isolated shoulder area on Marfargoa Drive <br />shall consist of Top Soil for Shoulder Backing material. The cost of Top Soil is <br />to be included in the Shoulder Backing item of work. <br />10. Contractor is to notify the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities Department at <br />(209) 937-8868 72 hours in advance of adjusting the Sanitary Sewer <br />Maintenance Holes and Lamphole to finished grade. <br />11. Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Hole and Lamphole Frames and Covers shall be <br />adjusted to grade per City of Stockton Standards.
