Hand grinding of AC pavement will be required at locations where existing highway and utility facilities are within the Planing AC Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand grinding will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing AC Pavement. 8. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the final layer of HMA pavement. No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted on the final layer of HMA surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be `placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. 9. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re–testing will be paid by the Contractor. OFESS/pv� 10. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. p� 11. The Contractor must obtain all permits and licenses required for the construction and completion of the project, and must perform all work in No. 42581 accordance with requirements and conditions of all permits and approvals applicable to the project. 12.
