The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 1 Y 1?sS1s9 the Site of Wbe 7. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii must receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work must be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection conform. 9. The Contractor will be responsible for adequate) scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24-hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. AIT re -testing will be paid by the Contractor. 10. All excavated material, including cold mix asphalt, from the Earthwork (Roadway Widening) operation must be used in construction of the embankment. Surface material must be broken into sizes that are no rarger than O.17 feet in the greatest dimension. 11. All existing bituminous material, including cold mix asphalt, outside of the widening areas but within the clearing and grubbing limits must be removed and used as embankment material in accordance with General Note No. 10. 12. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. 13. The Contractor must enter into an Agreement with the Union Pacific Railroad for any work within the Railroad's right-of-way. See SECTION 5-1.20C Railroad Relations of the Specifications for further details.
