0 <br />D <br />M <br />X <br />TI <br />r <br />m <br />z <br />0 <br />1. 0.25' HMA Overlay must be placed in two (2) layers of approximately equal <br />thickness with Geosynthetic Pavement Interlayer (Paving Fabric) placed between the <br />layers. <br />2. Pavement core data is unavailable; however, anticipate varying layers of base and <br />roadway surfacing materials within the sectional planing depth of the existing <br />roadway. <br />3. Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair <br />has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />4. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used for Mainline Paving <br />has been completed. <br />5. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must <br />remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />7_ Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The <br />Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the <br />existing drainage. <br />8. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing <br />the final layer of HMA pavement. No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or <br />drifted on the final layer of HMA surfacing. Where the shoulder placer ent exceeds <br />0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully <br />compacted layers. <br />9. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii must receive Penetration <br />Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work <br />must be confined to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to <br />the intersection conform. <br />COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN <br />DRAWN BY I DATE I PROJECT ENGINEER <br />10. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing <br />of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour prior notice <br />to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All <br />re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />11. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench <br />marks, control points, reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all <br />expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or <br />disturbance. <br />12. Hand grinding of AC pavement will be required at locations where existing highway <br />and utility facilities are within the Cold Plane Pavement and Pavement Repair limits. <br />Payment for hand grinding will be considered as included in the contract unit price <br />paid for Cold Plane Pavement. <br />13. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from the State of California <br />for traffic control or any work within the State's jurisdiction. Payment for this will <br />be considered as included in the contract prices paid for various items of work <br />involved <br />14. The Contractor must notify the City of Stockton at (209) 937-8706 72 hours in <br />advance of adjusting the City of the Stockton facilities to finished grade. Refer to <br />the City of Stockton Standards for adjusting facilities to grade. <br />15.
