Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay must not begin until the Hot Mix Asphalt used in Pavement Repair <br />has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. Placement of Hot Mix Asphalt Driveways must not begin until the Hot Mix Asphalt used for Mainline <br />Paving has been completed. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless <br />otherwise noted. <br />6. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the final layer of Hot <br />Mix Asphalt Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted on the final layer of Hot <br />Mix Asphalt surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing <br />must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. <br />7. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii must receive Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon per <br />square yard. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place, unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct <br />earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />9. The contract lump sum price paid for the Concrete Structures (Minor Structure) bid item includes full <br />compensation for furnishing all labor, materials (not including the 18" CMP), tools, equipment, and <br />incidentals, and doing all work involved with excavating and removing old culverts, installing new Cross <br />Drain System, and removing and disposing of any excess materials, and no further compensation will be <br />made therefor. <br />10. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities <br />constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing must conform <br />to the Standard Specifications. All re -testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />11.
