Contractor shall scarify native soil adjacent to pavement at <br />intersection radii to a depth of 6" and blend shoulder backing <br />material prior to compaction. Payment for blending shall be <br />considered as included in the price for Shoulder Backing. <br />2. Existing drainage facilities shall remain in place unless otherwise <br />noted. The Contractor shall conduct earthwork operations so as <br />not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />3. All shoulder work (except for final shoulder grading) shall be <br />completed prior to placing final lift of asphalt concrete. <br />4. Asphalt Concrete used for Pavement Repair shall not be placed <br />in layers which exceed 0.50' in compacted thickness. <br />5. Placement of asphalt concrete surfacing shall not begin until <br />the asphalt concrete used in pavement repair has been in <br />place for 12 hours. <br />6. Asphalt Concrete shall be placed in two (2) layers of approximate <br />equal thickness with pavement reinforcing fabric placed on the <br />existing surface. <br />7 <br />Survey monument frames and covers shall be adjusted to <br />finished qrade.
