NOTES 1. & 2. (TO BE PAID UNDER HYDROSEEDING): <br />1. CONTRACTOR SHALL BACK -FILL THE UPPER TWO-THIRDS OF THE <br />STREAM BANK AREAS RECEIVING ROCK SLOPE PROTECTION <br />(RIPRAP) WITH TOPSOIL. THE TOPSOIL FILL SHOULD BE PLACED TO <br />FILL THE VOIDS IN THE ROCK SLOPE PROTECTION AND PROVIDE A <br />SUBSTRATE FOR REVEGETATION EFFORTS. THE SOIL SHALL BE <br />COMPACTED TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE FILLING OF <br />THE VOIDS AND STABILIZE THE FILL. TO THE EXTENT PRACTICAL, <br />SOIL SHOULD BE WORKED INTO THE INTERSTITIAL SPACES AMONG <br />ROCK (FILL THE VOIDS). THE EXCAVATOR'S BUCKET OR A "SHEEP'S <br />FOOT" MAY BE NEEDED TO WORK SOIL INTO THE VOIDS. <br />2. CONTRACTOR SHALL STA3ILIZE THE TOPSOIL COVERED RIPRAP <br />AREAS BY SEEDING WITH A BLEND OF LOCALLY NATIVE AND <br />STERILE EROSION CONTROL GRASS SEEDS. THE SEED MIX SHALL BE <br />PRE -APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT. THE AREA SHALL BE <br />REVEGETATED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER CONSTRUCTION <br />ACTIVITIES IN THOSE AREAS CEASE. SEEDED AREAS SHOULD BE <br />COVERED WITH BROADCAST SEED -FREE STRAW. <br />3.
