All earthwork, (except for final grading of <br />shoulders and placement of shoulder backing <br />material) from Sta. 16+00 to Sta. 23+30 Lt., <br />Sta. 36+50 to Sta. 39+30 Lt. and Sta. 16+00 <br />to Sta. 42+25 Rt., shall be completed prior to <br />placing finished course of asphalt concrete. <br />2. Existing drainage facilities to remain in place. <br />The contractor shall conduct his earthwork <br />operation so as not to modify or obstruct <br />the existing drainage. <br />3. Imported Borrow material shall be a cohesive <br />material selected for its ability to resist erosion. <br />The Resistance Value (R—Value) and Sand <br />Equivalent requirements shall be waived. <br />4. Groveled shoulders shall be constructed by <br />uniformly placing shoulder backing material at <br />the rate of 3 tons per station at the following <br />locations: Sto. 16+00 to Sta. 23+30 Lt., <br />Sta. 36+50 to Sta. 39+30 Lt. and Sta. 16+00 <br />to Sto. 42+25 Rt. The completed shoulder shall <br />be graded flush with the edge of pavement. <br />5. Existing pavement markers may remain in place <br />where asphalt concrete overlay thickness is 0.25' <br />or greater. <br />6. Placement of Asphalt Concrete surfacing shall <br />not begin until asphalt concrete used in Pavement <br />Repair has been in place for a minimum of <br />36 hours. <br />7. Pavement Reinforcing Fabric shall be placed on <br />existing surface in areas where the Asphalt <br />Concrete thickness is 0.17' or less and shall <br />be placed between the layers where the Asphalt <br />Concrete thickness is greater than 0.17'. <br />CORRAL HOLLOW ROAD RESURFACING I Sheet N o . <br />1-205 (City Limits) to Larch Rd.
