All earthwork, (except for final grading of shoulders <br />and placement of shoulder backing material), <br />shall be completed prior to placing finished course <br />of asphalt concrete. <br />2. Existing drainage facilities to remain in place. The <br />contractor shall conduct his earthwork operation so <br />as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />3. The Imported Borrow material shall be a cohesive <br />material selected for its ability to resist erosion. The <br />Resistance (R—Value) and Sand Equivalent requirements <br />shall be waived. <br />4. Graveled shoulders shall be constructed by uniformly <br />placing shoulder backing material at the rate of <br />3 tons per station per side. The completed shoulders <br />shall be graded flush with the edge of pavement. <br />5. Asphalt <br />Concrete shall <br />be placed as noted <br />below: <br />0.35' <br />A.C. Thickness <br />— Two (2) layers of <br />approximate <br />equal <br />thickness with <br />Pavement Reinforcing <br />Fabric <br />between the layers. <br />0.50' <br />A.C. Thickness <br />— Three (3) layers of <br />approximate <br />equal <br />thickness with <br />Pavement Reinforcing <br />Fabric <br />between the second <br />and top layer. <br />6. Placement of the first layer of Asphalt Concrete <br />Surfacing shall not begin until Asphalt Concrete <br />used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a <br />minimum of 36 hours. <br />7. Existing pavement markers may remain in place <br />where overlay thickness is 0.25' or greater. <br />8. The contractor shall acquire an Encroachment <br />Permit from City of Tracy for work within <br />the City's jurisdiction. <br />9. P.
