Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used <br />in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 <br />hours. <br />4. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used <br />for Mainline Paving has been completed. <br />5. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place <br />unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage <br />improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />7. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise <br />noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so <br />as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />8. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be <br />completed prior to placing the final layer of HMA Pavement. <br />No Shoulder Backing material will be deposited or drifted on the <br />final layer of HMA surfacing. Where the shoulder placement <br />exceeds 0.50' in thickness, the Shoulder Backing must be <br />placed in two (2) or more compacted layers. <br />9. Shoulder Backing material at all intersection radii must receive <br />Penetration Treatment at 0.25 gallon/square yard. Limits of <br />the Penetration Treatment work must be confined to intersection <br />radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection <br />conform. <br />10.The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling <br />inspections and testing of all facilities constructed under this <br />contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All <br />testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All <br />re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />11.The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from <br />the Department of Transportation for traffic control and any <br />work within the State's jurisdiction.
