<br />DELETERIOUS MATERIAL AS REQUIRED TO CONSTRUCT THE CONTRACT WORK, ALL EXCESS
<br />MATERIAL GENERATED BY DEMOLITION, EXCAVATION AND GRADING SHALL BE DISPOSED OF
<br />BY THE CONTRACTOR WITHIN 24 HRS.
<br />8. EXCAVATION OF 5' OR MORE IN DEPTH WILL REQUIRE AN EXCAVATION PERMIT FROM THE
<br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY.
<br />9. THE PRICE BID FOR THIS WORK SHALL INCLUDE THE COST FOR ANY AND ALL PERMITS

<br />13. WE CALL YOUR ATTENTION TO: SECTION 1540(a)(1) OF THE CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ORDERS
<br />(TITLE 8 CALIFORNIA ADMINISTRATION CODE SECTION 1540), ISSUED BY THE OCCUPATIONAL
<br />SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARDS, BOARD PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA OCCUPATIONAL
<br />SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT OF 1973, AS AMENDED, WHICH STATES: "PRIOR TO OPENING AN

<br />14. DUST CONTROL SHALL BE PERFORMED AT ALL TIMES, AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE, TO
<br />MINIMIZE ANY DUST NUISANCE AND SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 10 OF CALTRANS
<br />STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS AND THE REQUIREMENTS OF SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY.
<br />15. A TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN (TCP) SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO AND DEEMED ACCEPTABLE BY
<br />COUNTY PRIOR TO START OF WORK. THIS SHALL ADDRESS ALL PHASES OF WORK, WHICH WILL
<br />IMPACT PUBLIC TRAFFIC. CONFORMANCE WITH THE TCP SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES.
<br />16. PRIOR TO COMMENCING ANY WORK, IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO
<br />HAVE EACH UTILITY COMPANY LOCATE IN THE FIELD THEIR MAIN AND SERVICE LINES. THE
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY MEMBERS OF THE UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT (U.S.A.) 48
<br />HOURS IN ADVANCE OF PERFORMING EXCAVATION WORK BY CALLING TOLL FREE NUMBER
<br />800-227-2600.
<br />17. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SIGNS AND TRAFFIC DEVICES FOR PUBLIC
<br />SAFETY AND CONVENIENCE. CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP TWO TRAFFIC LANES OPEN IN
<br />ADJACENT PUBLIC STREETS AT ALL TIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION.
<br />18. ALL STATIONS REFER TO DISTANCES ALONG STREET CENTERLINE, UNLESS OTHERWISE
<br />NOTED. ALL STATIONS OFF CENTERLINE ARE PERPENDICULAR TO OR RADIALLY OPPOSITE
<br />CENTERLINE STATIONS.
<br />19. PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE OF THE PROJECT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DELIVER TO THE
<br />ENGINEER, ONE SET OF NEATLY MARKED AS -BUILT RECORD DRAWINGS SHOWING THE
<br />INFORMATION REQUIRED ABOVE. AS -BUILT RECORD DRAWINGS SHALL BE REVIEWED AND
<br />THE COMPLETE AS -BUILT RECORD DRAWING SET SHALL BE CURRENT WITH ALL CHANGES
<br />AND DEVIATIONS REDLINED AS A PRECONDITION TO THE FINAL PROGRESS PAYMENT

<br />AND RESTORED TO THEIR ORIGINAL CONDITIONS UPON COMPLETION OF THE WORK.
<br />22. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PRESERVATION OF SURVEY MONUMENTS
<br />LOCATED WITHIN THE AREA OF WORK HEREIN PERMITTED. PRIOR TO THE START
