Unless noted otherwise, all concrete shall have a <br />min. 28—day compressive strength of 3,000 psi. <br />2. All reinforcing steel is to be ASTM A615, Grade 60. <br />Alternately, ASTM A615, Grade 40 may be used for <br />stirrups and closed ties. <br />3. All dimensions from grid lines to edge of concrete <br />are dependent on metal building design provided by <br />the contractor. These dimensions shall be verified <br />by shop drawing submittal and will be revised by the <br />Engineer if required. <br />4. Foundation dimensions are based on assumed values <br />for foundation loading from typical metal buildings <br />of the same type. Once the contractor has completed <br />his design of the building, he shall furnish the <br />Engineer with design reactions at the column bases. <br />The engineer will verify the adequacy of the <br />foundations and revise, if necessary, the drawings. <br />5. The allowable bearing capacity of spread footings is <br />3,000 psf. <br />6. Foundation walls around the perimeter of the <br />recycling building depend on the integral slab— <br />on—grade on top of the wall to prevent lateral <br />movement. These walls must be restrained by <br />shoring, bracing, or tie—backs to prevent lateral <br />movement until the slab—on—grade is in—place with <br />sufficient strength to restrain them. <br />7. Refer to the mechanical and electrical drawings for <br />miscellaneous embedded pipes and conduits. <br />8. All wood framing dimensions and details must be <br />coordinated with actual dimensions provided in the <br />metal building structure. <br />9. Refer to drawing All1 and specifications for <br />concrete finishing surface. <br />10. Reinforcing steel spliced in concrete shall have <br />a minimum lap of 32 bar diameters or not less <br />than 2'-0", unless noted otherwise. Reinforcing steel <br />spliced in masonry shall have a minimum lap of 48 <br />bar diameters or not less than 2'-0", unless noted <br />11. Size, type, and location of anchor bolts for the <br />metal building must be approved by the Engineer <br />prior to their placement. <br />12. Bond beams with 2 — #4 bars will be provided at <br />4'-0" o.c. and at the top of all masonry walls. <br />Window and door openings 4'-0" wide or more <br />shall be reinforced with two bond beams immediately <br />over openings, bars to extend 2'-0" each side of <br />opening. <br />13.
