<br />10. IF REQUIRED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DETERMINE THE PROPER WELL PLACEMENTS TO
<br />ADEQUATELY DEWATER THE AREA FOR TRENCHING.
<br />11. THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN OR ASSOCIATED UTILITY COMPANY AND RESIDENCES TO
<br />BE AFFECTED SHALL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY UPON ANY UTILITY SERVICE DISRUPTION
<br />OTHER THAN SPECIFIED ON THESE IMPROVEMENT PLANS AND A 24 HOUR NOTICE SHALL
<br />BE GIVEN FOR ANY PLANNED DISRUPTION.
<br />12. DUST SHALL BE CONTROLLED AS PER SECTION 10 OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPT. OF
<br />TRANSPORTATION, STD. SPECIFICATIONS AND THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN'S STANDARDS.
<br />13. LOTS SHALL BE GRADED TO ESTABLISH IDENTICAL ELEVATIONS (MATCH GRADES) WITH THE
<br />ADJACENT LOTS AND SURROUNDING PROPERTY UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE COUNTY.
<br />14. AN ENCROACHMENT PERMIT SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN, DEPT.
<br />OF PUBLIC WORKS OR ANY OTHER AGENCIES PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK WITHIN
<br />THE EXISTING COUNTY RIGHT-OF-WAY.
<br />15. STREET NAME SIGNS, TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS, AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS SHALL BE PROVIDED AND INSTALLED
<br />BY THE CONTRACTOR PER MANUAL OF UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AND SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY STANDARDS.
<br />16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SECURE A TRENCH PERMIT FROM THE CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF
<br />INDUSTRIAL SAFETY PRIOR TO EXCAVATION OF ANY TRENCH OVER FIVE FEET IN DEPTH.
<br />17. ASPHALT CONCRETE SHALL BE PLACED ONLY WHEN THE ATMOSPHERIC TEMPERATURE IS
<br />ABOVE 50 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT.
<br />18. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY LOCATIONS OF ALL EXISTING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND
<br />SHALL CONTACT THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANIES PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK.
<br />HE SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOCATION AND PRESERVATION OF ALL SUCH FACILITIES
<br />IN THE AREA OF CONSTRUCTION AND SHALL NOTIFY UTILITIES FORTY-EIGHT (48) HOURS IN
<br />ADVANCE OF ANY CONSTRUCTION (CALL USA AND OBTAIN THEIR PERMIT).
<br />19. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATION OF THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF
<br />ALL EXISTING UTILITIES WITH RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANIES.
<br />20. MANHOLE CASTINGS AND COVERS SHALL BE ADJUSTED TO FINAL GRADES BY THE PAVING
<br />CONTRACTOR AFTER STREET IMPROVEMENTS ARE COMPLETED.
<br />21. AFTER CONSTRUCTION OF ALL IMPROVEMENTS, THE ENGINEER SHALL SUBMIT ONE SET OF
<br />REPRODUCIBLE "AS BUILT" PLANS. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE HIS FIELD PLANS AVAILABLE
<br />TO THE ENGINEER FOR THIS PURPOSE.
<br />22. ALL TRENCHES ON MAJOR AND COLLECTOR STREETS AND CROSS TRENCHES ON ALL STREETS
<br />SHALL BE PAVED WITH TEMPORARY PAVING THE SAME DAY THE PAVEMENT CUTIS MADE.

<br />9. P.G.& E., TELEPHONE, AND OTHER UNDERGROUND SHALL ALL BE COMPLETED PRIOR
<br />TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE AC PAVING.
<br />10. IF REQUIRED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DETERMINE THE PROPER WELL PLACEMENTS TO
<br />ADEQUATELY DEWATER THE AREA FOR TRENCHING.
<br />11. THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN OR ASSOCIATED UTILITY COMPANY AND RESIDENCES TO
<br />BE AFFECTED SHALL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY UPON ANY UTILITY SERVICE DISRUPTION
<br />OTHER THAN SPECIFIED ON THESE IMPROVEMENT PLANS AND A 24 HOUR NOTICE SHALL
<br />BE GIVEN FOR ANY PLANNED DISRUPTION.
<br />12. DUST SHALL BE CONTROLLED AS PER SECTION 10 OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPT. OF
<br />TRANSPORTATION, STD. SPECIFICATIONS AND THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN'S STANDARDS.
<br />13. LOTS SHALL BE GRADED TO ESTABLISH IDENTICAL ELEVATIONS (MATCH GRADES) WITH THE
<br />ADJACENT LOTS AND SURROUNDING PROPERTY UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE COUNTY.
<br />14. AN ENCROACHMENT PERMIT SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN, DEPT.
<br />OF PUBLIC WORKS OR ANY OTHER AGENCIES PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK WITHIN
<br />THE EXISTING COUNTY RIGHT-OF-WAY.
<br />15. STREET NAME SIGNS, TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS, AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS SHALL BE PROVIDED AND INSTALLED
<br />BY THE CONTRACTOR PER MANUAL OF UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AND SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY STANDARDS.
<br />16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SECURE A TRENCH PERMIT FROM THE CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF
<br />INDUSTRIAL SAFETY PRIOR TO EXCAVATION OF ANY TRENCH OVER FIVE FEET IN DEPTH.
<br />17. ASPHALT CONCRETE SHALL BE PLACED ONLY WHEN THE ATMOSPHERIC TEMPERATURE IS
<br />ABOVE 50 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT.
<br />18. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY LOCATIONS OF ALL EXISTING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND
<br />SHALL CONTACT THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANIES PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK.
<br />HE SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOCATION AND PRESERVATION OF ALL SUCH FACILITIES
<br />IN THE AREA OF CONSTRUCTION AND SHALL NOTIFY UTILITIES FORTY-EIGHT (48) HOURS IN
<br />ADVANCE OF ANY CONSTRUCTION (CALL USA AND OBTAIN THEIR PERMIT).
<br />19. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATION OF THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF
<br />ALL EXISTING UTILITIES WITH RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANIES.
<br />20. MANHOLE CASTINGS AND COVERS SHALL BE ADJUSTED TO FINAL GRADES BY THE PAVING
<br />CONTRACTOR AFTER STREET IMPROVEMENTS ARE COMPLETED.
<br />21. AFTER CONSTRUCTION OF ALL IMPROVEMENTS, THE ENGINEER SHALL SUBMIT ONE SET OF
<br />REPRODUCIBLE "AS BUILT" PLANS. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE HIS FIELD PLANS AVAILABLE
<br />TO THE ENGINEER FOR THIS PURPOSE.
<br />22. ALL TRENCHES ON MAJOR AND COLLECTOR STREETS AND CROSS TRENCHES ON ALL STREETS
<br />SHALL BE PAVED WITH TEMPORARY PAVING THE SAME DAY THE PAVEMENT CUTIS MADE.

<br />SOILS WITH HEAVY CLAY CONTENT, OR VEGATIVE MATERIAL SHALL BE OVEREXCAVATED
<br />AND REPLACED WITH SANDY SOILS FROM THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE SITE OR
<br />IMPORTED. A MINIMUM OF 0.20' OF PAVING IS PROPOSED FOR ALL STREETS. THE
<br />CONTRACTOR MAY PROVIDE ALTERNATE PAVING SECTIONS, SUBJECT TO THE TESTING
<br />OF R -VALUES, THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE SOILS ENGINEER, AND SUBJECT TO
<br />THE APPROVAL OF THE COUTY OF SAN JOAQUIN. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A MINIMUM
<br />OF SIX ADDITIONAL R -VALUE TESTS BE PERFORMED AFTER SUBGRADE PREPARATION
<br />IN ORDER TO VERIFY THE PAVING STRUCTURAL SECTIONS.
