<br />1. Existing utilities shown on these plans are located according to
<br />available records and their location has not been actually
<br />verified in the field. The Engineer assumes no responsibility
<br />for accuracy of utility information shown. It shall be the
<br />Contractors responsibility to physically locate these lines to
<br />protect them from damage during construction.
<br />2. The Contractor agrees that he shall assume sole and complete
<br />responsibility for job site conditions during the course of
<br />construction of this Project, including safety of all persons
<br />and property; that this requirement shall apply continuously
<br />and not be limited to normal working hours; and that the
<br />Contractor shall defend, indemnify and hold the District and
<br />R. W. Siegfried & Associates harmless from any and all liability,
<br />real or alleged, in connection with the performance of work on
<br />this project, excepting for liability arising from the sole
<br />negligence of the District or R. W. Siegfried & Associates.
<br />3. All elevationsrefer to San Joaquin County datum.
<br />4. The District will provide all alignment stakes.
<br />5. The exact location of all water services shall be determined by the
<br />Engineer at the time of construction.
<br />6. A free locating service for underground telephone cable may be
<br />requested from Pacific Telephone by notifying them at
<br />(209) 466-8353, 48 hours prior to the beginning of construction
<br />in areas where cables are located.
<br />7. After final acceptance of this job the water lines will be
<br />maintained by the Lathrop County Water District.
<br />8. Existing drainage culverts that are located along the trench line
<br />maybe removed and then replaced at their original location.
<br />The cost of this work shall be included in the unit price for
<br />pipe installation.
