MODEL 6SE1002. EACH PUMP SHALL HAVE A CAPACITY OF 700 GPM AGAINST <br />A TUN OF 60 FEET, INCLUDING STATIC HEAD AND PUMP FRICTION, AND A SHUT-OFF HEAD OF <br />56 FEET MINIMUM. MOTORS SHALL BE 1B H.P., 1200 RPM, 3 PHASE, 60 HZ 230 VOLTS. <br />BOTH PUMPS AND MOTORS SHALL BE BUILT BY THE PUMP MANUFACTURER AND SHALL HAVE THE <br />CAPABILITY OF RUNNING DRY FOR EXTENDED PERIODS WITHOUT DAMAGE TO MOTOR OR SEALS. <br />DESIGN SHALL BE SUCH THAT THE PUMPING UNITS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CONNECTED TO THE <br />DISCHARGE PIPING, BY POSITIVELY LOCKING THE VOLUTE INTO POSITION TO PREVENT ANY <br />MOVEMENT WHEN LOWERED INTO PLACE TO THE DISCHARGE CONNECTION. THE SLIDE -AWAY COUPLINGS <br />AT THE DISCONNECT POINT SHALL HAVE STAINLESS STEEL MATING FACES TO PREVENT CORROSION, <br />WITH THE STATIONARY COUPLING HAVING AN INCLINE PLANE TO PROVIDE A CLOSING ACTION AND <br />A SELF-CLEANING ARRANGEMENT. THE PUMPS Sa.ALL BE EASILY REMOVABLE FOR INSPECTION OR <br />SERVICE, WITH NO NEED FOR PERSONNEL TO EN^_'ER THE PUMP WELL. EACH PUMP SHALL BE FITTED <br />WITH A GALVANIZED CHAIN TO PERMIT RAISING THE PUMP FOR INSPECTION AND REMOVAL. <br />THE MOTORS FOR THESE PUMPS SHALL BE OF THE SUBMERSIBLE TYPE, OIL FILLED FOR BETTER <br />HEAT DISSIPATION, WITH S.S. SHAFT. THE PUMPS SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH DOUBLE BACK-TO- <br />BACK MECHANICAL SEALS, LOCATED IN AN OIL RESERVOIR THAT IS PRESSURE EQUALIZED THROUGH <br />A DIAPHRAGM. THE PUMPS SHALL HAVE A MOISTURE DETECTION SYSTEM WHEREBY THE PRESENCE OF <br />MOISTURE IN THE SEAL CAVITY CAN BE DETECTED AND CORRECTED. THE IMPELLERS SHALL BE OF <br />THE TWO -VANE, SEMI -OPEN TYPE, THAT CAN PASS A SPHERE OF 3". THE PUMP SHALL BE OF CAST <br />IRON WITH ALL PARTS COATED WITH A TWO-PART EPDXY AND BAKED AT 350 DEGREES F. AND FINISHED <br />WITH ENAMEL. ALL EXPOSED HARDWARE SHALL BE S.S.
