P <br />SCAPE NOTES <br />GENERAL: <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Furnish all materials, labor, equipment and related items necessary to accomplish the treatment <br />and preparation of existing sod, placement and grading of import soil, placement of specified <br />plant materials, fertilizer, staking and mulch, clean-up and debris removal. <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br />Landscape contractor &hall be skilled and knowledgeable in the field of work. Contractor shall be <br />licensed to perform the work specified within the presiding jurisdiction. <br />!OB CONDITIONS <br />It is the contractor's responsibility to review the site and report any discrepancies to the owner or <br />the owner's representative. All plant material and finished grades are subject to approval by the <br />owner. Repair and/or replace items damaged as a result of work, or work not in compliance with <br />plans and specifications, as directed by owner at no additional cost. <br />Protection. During the course of work, repair all existing planting areas by pruning dead growth, <br />reestablishing finished grade, reenulching to specified depth, and treating soil with an approved <br />pre -emergent herbicide. Repair any damage caused in the course of work to curbs, paving, <br />lighting, fences and structures to the satisfaction of owner, at no additional cost. <br />Qx&ElujLq%;LM1jULCtl Guarantee all plant material for a period of one year from dale of final <br />acceptance of the job by owner. Maintain all planting areas until final acceptance of final job. <br />Guarantee lawn until active growth is evident (60 days of growing season). <br />Clean up all litter and clippings, soils on walks, driveways, and curbs, etc. The site shall be left in <br />a alln and spotless condition. Remove all Rag labels from plant material and submit to Architect <br />(Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc.). <br />Irri,,tio,. Provide fully balanced and complete irrigation system per plan. All pipe shall be <br />laced at a minimum twelve such 12' <br />P ( )depth. All heads shall be mounted on triple swing ell <br />joints or Rex pipe. Certification shall also be <br />provided for all work specified to be performed after initial installation; i.e., fertilizer topdressing <br />and specified irrigation maintenance. <br />Inter relations: Should p S pull bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from, the Drawings or <br />specifications, he should at once notify the landscape architect, who will send written instructions <br />or addenda to all bidders. Neither owner or landscape architect will be responsible for oral <br />interpretations. Do not prune or lop plants <br />received from the nursery prior to delivery to site. Substitutions must be approved in writing by <br />owner's representative. Repeat fine grading procedures and rolling until fawn grades <br />are free of undulations.
