<br />7. PIPELINES WHICH ARE TO BE ABANDONED SHALL BE REMOVED BY THL

<br />8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SEAL ANY EXISTING WELLS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
<br />THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND CITY REQUIREMENTS.
<br />ALL EXISTING CESSPOOLS, FOUNDATIONS, BASEMENTS, TANKS, OR OTHER
<br />UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES SHALL BE REMOVED AND THE RESULTING
<br />DEPRESSIONS BACKFILLED AND COMPACTED. ANY COSTS INVOLVED IN THIS
<br />WORK SHALL BE CONSIDERED INCLUDED IN THE CONTRACT PRICE FOR THE
<br />GRADING ITEMS.
<br />9. ALL CUT AND FILL SLOPES AT THE BOUNDARY LINES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED
<br />IN SUCH A MANNER THAT ADJACENT FENCES WILL NOT BE DAMAGED.
<br />DAMAGED FENCES SHALL BE REPLACED AT CONTRACTOR EXPENSE.
<br />10. ALL SLOPES ON REAR AND SIDE PROPERTY LINES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED
<br />WITH THE TOP OF SLOPE 1.00 FT INTO THE LOWER LOT. SLOPES SHALL BE
<br />COMPACTED FIRMLY AND GRADED NEATLY.
<br />11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY 14OLTE AND ASSOCIATES AS
<br />SOON AS HE HAS A GROUP OF 20 OR MORE PADS READY FOR A GRADE CHECK.
<br />ANY REQUIRED RECHECKS WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CONTRACTOR BY THE
<br />OWNER.
<br />12. THE FINISH GRADE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE DRAINAGE SWALES HAVING A
<br />MINIMUM SLOPE OF 190.
<br />13. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE ALL
<br />NECESSARY IMPORTED FILL TO ACHIEVE THE DESIGN GRADES AND SECTIONS.
<br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SHRINKAGE VOLUME
<br />OF IMPORTED MATERIAL AND SHALL INFORM THE OWNER'S SOILS ENGINEER
<br />OF IMPORT SOURCE. CONTRACTOR SHALL ADHERE TO ANY REVISED SOIL
<br />COMPACTION SPECIFICATIONS RESULTING FORM THE TYPE OF IMPORT FILL
<br />TO BE PROVIDED.
<br />14. ANY AREAS OF ENGINEERED FILL OF I FT OR MORE AS INDICATED ON PLANS
<br />SHOULD BE SCARIFIED TO A MINIMUM DEPTH OF 6 IN. AND RECOMPACT TO
<br />90% OF THE MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF FILL.
<br />ENGINEERED FILL SHOULD BE PLACED IN LARGE LAYERS, A MAXIMUM OF 8
<br />IN. IN LOOSE THICKNESS, AND COMPACTED TO A MINIMUM OF 90% OF THE
<br />MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY.
<br />15. ALL FILL REQUIRED FOR THE STREET SECTIONS SHALL BE NATIVE MATERIAL
