<br />7. ALL CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND METHODS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
<br />ORDINANCES, SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS OF SAN JOAQUIN
<br />COUNTY.
<br />8. DUST SHALL BE CONTROLLED BY WATERING THROUGHOUT THE GRADING
<br />AND UNDERGROUND CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS AS REQUIRED BY THE
<br />COUNTY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ARRANGE AND PAY FOR CONSTRUCTION
<br />WATER.
<br />9. SHOULD IT APPEAR THAT THE WORK TO BE DONE, OR ANY MATTER
<br />RELATIVE THERETO, IS NOT SUFFICIENTLY DETAILED OR EXPLAINED ON
<br />THESE PLANS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE PROJECT ENGINEER
<br />AT MAJORS ENGINEERING, INC., AT (510) 820-2423 AND THE OWNER'S
<br />REPRESENTATIVE FOR SUCH FURTHER EXPLANATIONS AS MAY BE
<br />NECESSARY.
<br />10. IF ARCHEOLOGICAL MATERIALS ARE UNCOVERED DURING GRADING,
<br />TRENCHING OR OTHER ON-SITE EXCAVATION, EARTHWORK WITHIN 100
<br />FEET OF THESE MATERIALS SHALL BE STOPPED UNTIL A PROFESSIONAL
<br />ARCHAEOLOGIST WHO IS CERTIFIED BY THE SOCIETY OF CALIFORNIA
<br />ARCHAEOLOGY (SCA) AND/OR THE SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL
<br />ARCHAEOLOGY (SOPA) HAS HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO EVALUATE THE

<br />12. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MATCHING EXISTING STREETS
<br />SURROUNDING LANDSCAPING AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS WITH A SMOOTH
<br />TRANSITION IN PAVING, CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDEWALKS, GRADING,
<br />ETC., AND TO AVOID ANY ABRUPT OR APPARENT CHANGES IN
<br />APPEARANCE, GRADES, CROSS SLOPES, LOW SPOTS, OR HAZARDOUS
<br />CONDITIONS.
<br />13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL POST EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBERS FOR
<br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, UTILITIES, AMBULANCE, POLICE AND FIRE
<br />DEPARTMENTS AT THE FIELD OFFICE IN A VISIBLE LOCATION.
<br />14. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE
<br />ALL NECESSARY UTILITY RELOCATIONS WITH THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY
<br />COMPANIES.
<br />15. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE FOR INGRESS AND EGRESS TO PRIVATE
<br />PROPERTY ADJACENT TO WORK THROUGHOUT THE PERIOD OF
<br />CONSTRUCTION.
<br />16. ALL WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY STANDARD

<br />22. THIS SURVEY WAS PREPARED BY A COMBINATION OF AERIAL AND FIELD

<br />UTILITY AGENCIES AND SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED AND
<br />HAVE BEEN GIVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MARK THEIR FACILITIES IN THE

<br />24. ALL LINES ABANDONED DURING CONSTRUCTION SALL BE REMOVED OR

<br />25. TESTING:
<br />A. ALL INDEPENDENT LABORATORY INSPECTION CALLED FOR BY THE
<br />COUNTY WILL BE PAID FOR BY THE DEVELOPER. THIS WILL
<br />INCLUDE ONE (1) TEST AND ONE (1) RETEST, ADDITIONAL TESTS
<br />WILL BE COMPLETED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
<br />B. ROAD SUBBASE AND TRENCH BACKFILL TESTING SHALL BE
<br />PERFORMED BY A SOILS ENGINEER
<br />26. EXISTING CURB AND SIDEWALK WITHIN THE PROJECT LIMITS THAT ARE
<br />DAMAGED OR DISPLACED, EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE NOT TO BE REMOVED,
<br />SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED PER COUNTY STANDARD PLANS EVEN
<br />IF DAMAGE OR DISPLACEMENT OCCURRED PRIOR TO ANY WORK PERFORMED
<br />BY THE CONTRACTOR UNLESS IDENTIFIED PRIOR TO START OF WORK.
<br />27. ALL STREET MONUMENTS, LOT CORNER, AND OTHER PERMANENT PIPE OR
<br />MONUMENTS DISTURBED DURING THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTION SHALL
<br />BE REPLACED BEFORE ACCEPTANCE OF IMPROVEMENTS BY SAN JOAQUIN
<br />COUNTY.
<br />28. REFER TO THE FINAL MAP OF THIS TRACT FOR PROPERTY LINE DATA.
<br />29. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN FOR ALL REQUIRED PERMITS AND
<br />LICENSES PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION.
<br />30. ALL TEST AND INSPECTIONS REQUIRED BY GOVERNING AGENCIES SHALL
<br />BE ARRANGED FOR BY THE CONTRACTOR, AND PAID OR BY THE
<br />DEVELOPER.
<br />31. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING A PRE -
<br />CONSTRUCTION JOB SITE CONFERENCE WITH GOVERNING AGENCIES, ALL
<br />UTILITY COMPANIES AND OWNERS REPRESENTATIVES PRIOR TO
<br />COMMENCING WORK. THIS MEETING WILL VERIFY SCHEDULES, METHODS
<br />AND MATERIALS TO BE USED IN CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROJECT.
<br />32. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE CERTIFICATIONS TO OWNER FOR FOLLOWING
<br />STAGES OF COMPLETION:
<br />A. ROUGH GRADE TO PLUS OR MINUS ONE-TENTH OF A FOOT. ROUGH
<br />GRADE SOIL COMPACTION PRIOR TO ANY UNDERGROUND
<br />CONSTRUCTION.
<br />B. TRENCH BACKFILL.
<br />C. SEWER, WATER AND IRRIGATION TESTING COMPLETE AND PASSING
<br />PRIOR TO FINE GRADING AND BASE ROCK PLACEMENT.
<br />D. FINE GRADING TO PLUS OR MINUS ONE-TENTH OF A FOOT PRIOR
<br />TO ANY BASE ROCK PLACEMENT.
<br />E. RETAINING WALL OR STRUCTURE BACKFILL COMPACTION RESULTS.
<br />THE ABOVE CERTIFICATES SHALL BE PERFORMED BY MAJORS
<br />ENGINEERING AND THE SOILS ENGINEER AND PAID FOR BY THE OWNER.
<br />ANY COSTS FOR REWORKING, RETESTING, OR RESURVEYING DUE TO NON-
<br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY
<br />OF THE CONTRACTOR.
<br />33. CALCULATIONS NECESSARY TO DETERMINE QUANTITY OF BASE ROCK.
<br />COPIES OF CALCULATIONS SHALL BE FURNISHED TO THE OWNER.
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH LOAD TICKETS TO OWNER FOR USE IN
<br />CHECKING QUANTITY OF BASE ROCK ACTUALLY PLACED ON JOB SITE.
<br />OWNER MAY REQUEST BORINGS BY SOILS ENGINEER TO CONFIRM
<br />THICKNESS OF BASE ROCK.
<br />TRENCH BACKFILL SHALL BE DONE IN A CONTINUOUS OPERATION AND
<br />COMPLETED TO SUBGRADE. AREAS OF MINIMUM COVER SHALL BE
<br />PROTECTED.
<br />LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION LINES SHALL BE BURIED A MINIMUM OF TWELVE
<br />(12) INCHES BELOW SUBGRADE AND COMPACTED TO 90% MINIMUM.
<br />34. ENCROACHMENT PERMIT REQUIRED FOR ALL WORK WITHIN SAN JOAQUIN
<br />COUNTY ROADS.
<br />GRADING NOTES:
<br />1. ALL GRADING OPERATIONS, EXCAVATION, FILL, COMPACTION,
<br />TRENCHING AND BACKFILL SHALL BE OBSERVED AND TESTED BY A
<br />QUALIFIED REGISTERED SOILS ENGINEER. THE SOILS ENGINEER SHALL
<br />BE DESIGNATED AND PAID FOR BY THE OWNER.
<br />2. ALL GRADING OPERATIONS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ROUGH
<br />GRADE, RETAINING WALLS, FINE GRADE, BUILDING LAYOUT, CURBS,
<br />AND CURB AND GUTTERS SHALL BE STAKED BY A REGISTERED CIVIL
<br />ENGINEER OR LICENSED LAND SURVEYOR. THE CIVIL
<br />ENGINEER/ SURVEYOR MUST BE APPROVED BY THE OWNER. TOWILL, INC.
<br />IS AN APPROVED SURVEY COMPANY. OTHERS WILL BE CONSIDERED UPON
<br />REQUEST (THIS REQUEST SHALL ACCOMPANY THE BID). THE
<br />CCNTRACTOR IS TO NOTIFY THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE A MINIMUM
<br />OF TWO (2) WORKING DAYS IN ADVANCE ON STAKING REQUESTS.
<br />3. PRIOR TO THE START OF GRADING, ALL EXISTING VEGETATION AND
<br />DEBRIS, INCLUDING EXISTING STRUCTURES, FOOTINGS, FOUNDATIONS,
<br />RUBBLE, AND ROOT SYSTEMS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE TO THE
<br />SATISFACTION OF THE SOILS ENGINEER.
<br />4. AFTER STRIPPING THE DEBRIS, ANY EXISTING LOOSE FILL OR
<br />DISTURBED NATURAL SOILS SHALL BE EXCAVATED TO THE SATISFACTION
<br />OF THE SOILS ENGINEER.
<br />5. THE EXPOSED SOILS SHALL THEN BE INSPECTED BY THE SOILS
<br />ENGINEER AND ANY ADDITIONAL OVER -EXCAVATION SHALL THEN BE MADE
<br />IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SOILS ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATIONS.
<br />6. NO FILL MAY BE PLACED UNTIL THE EXPOSED SURFACES HAVE BEEN
<br />APPROVED BY THE SOILS ENGINEER AND COUNTY GRADING INSPECTOR.
<br />7. ALL FILL AND BACKFILL MATERIAL MUST BE APPROVED BY THE SOILS
<br />ENGINEER, UTILITY COMPANY INVOLVED AND COUNTY INSPECTOR.
<br />8. COMPACTION SHALL BE OBTAINED TO THE DEGREE SPECIFIED BY THE
<br />SOILS ENGINEER AND SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY INSPECTOR.
<br />9. IF ANY UNKNOWN SUB -SURFACE STRUCTURES ARE ENCOUNTERED DURING
<br />CONSTRUCTION, THEY SHALL IMMEDIATELY BE BROUGHT TO THE
<br />ATTENTION OF THE SOILS ENGINEER AND THE OWNER PRIOR TO

<br />10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE OUT THE GRADING PERMIT AND NOTIFY
<br />THE COUNTY INSPECTOR, SOILS ENGINEER, AND OWNER AT LEAST TWO
<br />(2) WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION.
<br />11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOCATION AND
<br />PROTECTION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES TO REMAIN IN USE WITHIN
<br />THE CONSTRUCTION AREA WHETHER SHOWN OR NOT SHOWN HEREON.
<br />12. ABANDONMENT OF EXISTING UTILITIES NOT TO REMAIN IN USE SHALL
<br />BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SOILS ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATIONS AND
<br />THE GOVERNING UTILITY COMPANY REQUIREMENTS. ALL EXISTING
<br />UTILITY LINES BENEATH PROPOSED AND FUTURE BUILDING AREAS SHALL
