CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTING EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS <br />FROM DAMAGE. <br />7. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTING ALL EXISTING <br />MONUMENTS AND OTHER SURVEY MARKERS. <br />S. EXCAVATION OF 5' OR MORE IN DEPTH WILL REQUIRE AN EXCAVATION PERMIT <br />FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY. BEFORE <br />BEGINNING EXCAVATION FOR A TRENCH FIVE (5) FEET OR MORE IN DEPTH, THE <br />CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT TO AND SHALL RECEIVE THE ACCEPTANCE (APPROVAL) <br />OF THE ENGINEER OF A DETAILED PLAN SHOWING THE DESIGN OF SHORING, <br />BRACING, SLOPING OR OTHER PROVISIONS TO BE MADE FOR WORKER PROTECTION <br />FROM HAZARD OF CAVING GROUND. SUCH PLAN SHALL BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST <br />FIVE (5) DAYS BEFORE THE CONTRACTOR INTENDS TO BEGIN WORK ON THE TRENCH. <br />IF SUCH PLAN VARIES FROM THE SHORING SYSTEM STANDARDS ESTABLISHED BY <br />THE CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ORDERS, THE PLAN SHALL BE PREPARED BY A REGISTERED <br />CIVIL OR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER. <br />9. WATER STORAGE BASINS SHALL HAVE MAXIMUM SIDE SLOPES OF 3:1. <br />11. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY ENGINEER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF CONDITIONS <br />ON THE GROUND DIFFER FROM THOSE SHOWN ON THE PLANS. <br />12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PREVENTING AND REPAIRING ANY <br />EROSION THAT MAY OCCUR AS A RESULT OF CONSTRUCTION AND SHALL BE <br />REPONSIBLE FOR ALL DUST CONTROL DURING CONSTRUCTION. <br />13. CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE A WATER TRUCK ON—SITE DURING ALL GRADING <br />OPERATIONS. <br />14. STORM DRAIN SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT SAN <br />JOAQUIN COUNTY IMPROVEMENT STANDARDS. STORM DRAIN PIPE MAY BE ANY TYPE <br />APPROVED FOR USE BY THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN. <br />15. ORANGE CONSTRUCTION FENCES SHALL BE ERECTED AROUND THE PERIMETER <br />OF ALL OAK TREE PROTECTIVE ZONES. THE PROTECTIVE ZONE SHALL EXTEND <br />SIX (6) FEET BEYOND THE DRIP LINE OF THE OAK TREE. THE DRIP LINE SHALL <br />BE A CIRCLE WHOSE RADIUS IS EQUAL TO THE DISTANCE FROM THE CENTER <br />OF THE TRUNK TO THE GROUND PROJECTION OF THE TIP OF THE LONGEST <br />BRANCH OF THE OAK TREE. <br />16. WHERE FILL IS PLACED AROUND THE PERIMETER OF AN OAK TREE <br />PROTECTIVE ZONE, A SHALLOW FURROW (LESS THAN SIX (6) INCHES <br />DEEP) SHALL BE MAINTAINED AROUND THE PROTECTIVE ZONE. THE <br />FURROW SHALL DIVERT THE RUNOFF TO A DRAIN. THE FURROW AND THE <br />DRAIN SHALL BE SUFFICIENT TO PREVENT FLOODING OF THE CROWN IN <br />THE EVENT OF A TEN—YEAR STORM. <br />17. THE ONE HUNDRED (100) FOOT BUFFER LINE AS SHOWN ON THESE <br />PLANS, MARKING THE RIPARIAN BUFFER ZONE, IS MEASURED FROM THE <br />MEAN HIGH WATER LEVEL OF THE NATURAL BANK, AND SHALL BE <br />CLEARLY STAKED AND FLAGGED. <br />18. ALL GRADING SHALL REMAIN OUTSIDE THE RIPARIAN BUFFER ZONE. <br />19. NO GRADED SOILS, OR OTHER SOILS, SHALL BE STOCKPILED OR <br />PUSHED INTO THE RIPARIAN BUFFER ZONE. <br />20. NO EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS SHALL BE PARKED OR STORED WITHIN <br />THE RIPARIAN BUFFER ZONE. <br />21.
