Contractor shall obtain from the County a copy of the fully executed wireline crossing agreement prior to <br />commencing any work in Union Pacific R.R. Company right-of-way and must be available on the job site if <br />requested by railroad employees. During the life of the agreement, Contractor shall fully comply with the <br />insurance requirements described in exhibit C. The Contractor shall comply with UPRR Wireline Crossing <br />to Agreement for safety standards and installation instruction of steel conduit underneath the track and obtain <br />proper insurance as required by UPRR. Contractor shall be required to arrange for all storage/staging areas and Traffic Control. <br />4. The type, size, location and depth of existing underground utilities shown on these drawings were obtained from <br />various sources. Efforts have been made to locate and delineate all known underground facilities. However, no <br />responsibility for the completeness and/or accuracy of delineation of such underground facilities, which may be <br />encountered is assumed by the Engineer or owner. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to verify the existence, <br />depth, and/or location of all underground utilities prior to commencement of construction. <br />5. The Contractor shall notify the Engineer of any conflicts between existing utilities and proposed improvements. <br />6. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities <br />constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform to the Standard Specifications. All re -testing shall be <br />paid by the Contractor. <br />7. The Contractor's attention is directed to section 1540(a)(t) of The Construction Safety Orders (Title & California <br />Administration Code Section 1540), issued by Occupation Safety Health Standards Board pursuant to the California <br />Safety Health Act of 1973, as amended which states: prior to opening excavation, efforts shall be made to whether <br />underground installation (i.e. sewer, water, fuel, electrical lines, etc,) will be encountered and, if so, where such <br />underground installations are located when the excavation approaches the approximate location of such installation. <br />The exact location shall be determined by careful probing and/or digging, and when it is located, accurate <br />protection shall be provided for the existing installation. All known owners of the underground facilities in the area <br />concerned shall be advised of proposed work at least 48 hours prior to start of actual excavation. <br />8. During construction the Contractor shall maintain the integrity of existing facilities. Any damage shall be repaired by <br />Contractor to the satisfaction of the utility agency, at no cost to the owner. <br />9. Contractor shall be responsible for coordination with PG&E for power connection and new lighting service. Please <br />contact Julie del Corso at (209) 942-1418 with PG&E. <br />10. Earthwork (Miscellaneous Areas) shall include ditch relocation, ditch grading, fill material and compaction. <br />11. The Contractor shall notify Kinder Morgan (KM) to arrange for a pipeline reprersentative to be present during work near <br />the pipelines at least two weeks prior to commencement of work. Please contact Kinder Morgan representative Ken Yeo at <br />(916) 369-9772. The Contractor shall also provide a list of construction equipment that will be used at the project site to <br />Kinder Morgan 15 calendar days after award of contract. <br />12. The Contractor shall hand dig in the area of the KM pipe line if required by KM inspector. <br />13. Latex Modified 'Slurry Seal shall be applied after removal of existing centerline, edgeline and pavement markers from <br />Station 237+00 to Station 252+00. <br />14.
