Von Sosten Road: <br />0.25' Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall be placed in two (2) layers of <br />approximate equal thickness. <br />Northland & Southland Roads: <br />0.10' Asphalt Concrete Leveling shall be placed in one (1) layer. <br />0.15' Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall be placed in one (1) layer with <br />Pavement Reinforcing Fabric placed between the layers on Northland Road. <br />2. Placement of Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete <br />used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. All earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, shall be completed prior to <br />placing the final lift of Asphalt Concrete. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities, including bollards, roadside signs, trees, <br />shrubs, fences etc. shall remain in place unless otherwise noted on the plans. <br />5. Shoulder Backing Material at all intersection radii shall receive penetration treat- <br />ment at 0.25 gallon/SY. Limits of penetration treatment work shall be confined to <br />intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to intersection conform. <br />6. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and <br />testing of all facilities constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform <br />to the Standard Specifications. All re -testing shall be paid by the Contractor. <br />7. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete will be required at locations where existing <br />monuments are within the Planing and Pavement Repair limits. <br />8. Planing Asphalt Concrete on Von Sosten Road from Sta 10+15 to Sta 43+15 <br />to a depth of 0.25', may exceed the depth of the existing AC surfacing at <br />some locations.
