Gambini 4/12 <br />GENERAL NOTES: <br />1. 0.17' Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall be placed in one (1) layer with Pavement <br />Reinforcing Fabric placed on the existing or prepared surface. <br />2. Placement of Asphalt Concrete Overlay shall not begin until the Asphalt Concrete <br />used in Pavement Repair has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. Existing highway and utility facilities, including roadside signs, trees, mailboxes, <br />shrubs, fences etc. shall remain in place unless otherwise noted on the plans. <br />4. Placement of all Asphalt Concrete Driveways shall not begin until the Asphalt <br />Concrete used for Mainline Paving has been completed. <br />5. Hand grinding of Asphalt Concrete will be required at locations where existing <br />utilities are within the Planing and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for Hand <br />Grinding shall be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for <br />Planing Asphalt Concrete Pavement. <br />6. Contractor is to notify the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities Department at <br />209) 937-8868 72 hours in advance of adjusting the Sanitary Sewer <br />Maintenance Holes and Lampholes to finished grade. <br />7. Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Hole and Lamphole Frames and Covers shall be <br />adjusted to grade per City of Stockton Standards. Refer to City of Stockton <br />Standard Plans Drawing No. 39. <br />8. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and <br />testing of all facilities constructed under this contract. All testing shall conform <br />to the Standard Specifications. All re -testing shall be paid by the Contractor. <br />9. Shoulder Backing Material at all intersection radii shall receive penetration <br />treatment at 0.25 gallon/sq. yard.
