Prior to commencing any work, it shall be the Contractor's responsibilities to have each utility company <br />locate in the field their mains and service lines. The contractor shall notify the member of <br />Underground Services Alert (USA) 48 hours in advance of performing excavation work by calling the <br />Toll Free number 1-800-277-2600. <br />2. The Contractor shall field verify all utilities locations and depths. Water and Gas lines are shown at <br />approximately depth and locations on Plans. It shall be the Contractor's sole responsibility to protect <br />all existing utilities, so that no damage results to them during the performance of his contract <br />The Contractor shall be required to cooperate with other Contractors and Utility Company installing <br />new structures, utilities and services to the project. <br />3. The Contractor shall exercise due caution and shall carefully preserve Bench Marks, Reference Points <br />and all Survey Stakes and shall bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors caused by their <br />unnecessary loss or disturbance.or disturbance. <br />4. Asphalt Concrete 0.30' shall be placed in two (2) layers of approximate equal thickness. <br />5. All mailboxes within the Project Limits shall be relocated by the Contractor. See Plan for Locations <br />6. All existing trees, shrubs, fences, concrete walks and other frontage improvements are to remain in place <br />unless otherwise noted. <br />7. Quantity paid for Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk in linear feet is measured along the flow line of the gutter pan. <br />8. Asphalt Concrete Driveways to be removed as part of Roadway Excavation. <br />9. Additional #4 rebar and extra width sidewalk are required in the section shown on Loomis Avenue (Sheet No.16) <br />shall be included in the unit price for Minor Concrete (Sidewalk), no additional compensation is allowed. <br />10. Installation of Type B Vertical Curb on Pock Lane will be included in the unit price of Minor Concrete (Sidewalk). <br />11. Expansion Joints shall be provided at 20' to 25' intervals at Concrete Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk. <br />12. Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Hole and Lamphole Frames and Covers shall be reset to grade per City of Stockton <br />Standards. Refer to City of Stockton Standard Plan Drawings. <br />13. The Contractor is to notify the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities Department at (209) 937-8868 <br />72 hours in advance of adjusting Sanitary Sewer Laterals or resetting the Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Holes <br />and Lampholes to finished grade. <br />14. Sanitary Sewer Laterals shall be adjusted per City of Stockton Standards. Refer to Improvement Standards <br />Drawing No, 46, 46A, 62 & 63. <br />15. The Contractor shall be responsible for adequately scheduling inpectiion and testing at all facilities constructed <br />under this contract. All testing shall conform to the Standard Specification. <br />All re —testing shall be paid by the Contractor. <br />16. Locations of utilities shown on plans are approximate.
