road with the County Road on the opposite side of said river <br />provided that in the construction of the said bridge the <br />pile bents therefor shall be so placed as to allow a clear <br />crater course of fifty feet in width to permit the passage <br />of dredgers; and that the said bridge for easy removal <br />shall have steel krussesl to carry the usual wooden r-oadway. <br />And the said parties of the first part do also to <br />the extent of, their respective interests grant to said <br />County the right of way for a free Public Steel Drawbridge <br />across the navigable canal on said Union Island, commonly <br />called by tray of distinction the Grant Line Canal, to be <br />located on a right line crossing said canal, the north end <br />of which line is at a point in the center ,of the levee on <br />the ..orth bank of said canal, distant 105 feet from the <br />Power line Pole No. 2421 of the Standard Electric Company <br />of California, and 75 feet from the Pourer line Pole No. 2422 <br />of said Company: <br />Provided, however, that such steel briage snaii <br />be so constructed with such vridth of draw and otherwise, <br />as not to interfere With or obstruct the free passage and. <br />exit _of flood waters, or the navigability of said canal .for <br />steamers, dredgers, barges or oti.er water craft,, or in any <br />manner .injure or endanger the safety of the levees on either <br />side of said canal. <br />As to the grants hereinbefore made by the said <br />John W.
