<br />principal clerk of the printer and publisher of the STOC'KTON
<br />RECORD, a newspaper of general circulation printed and
<br />published daily, Sundays and holidays excepted, in the
<br />City of Stockton, in said County of San Joaquin,
<br />State of California; that said STOCKTON RECORD is and
<br />was at all times herein mentioned, a newspaper of general circulation
<br />as that term is defined by Section 446c, of the Political Code, and, as
<br />provided by said section, is published for the dissemination of local
<br />and telegraphic news and intelligence of a general character, having a
<br />bona fide subscription list of paying subscribers, and is not -devoted-
<br />to the interests, or published for the entertainment or instruction of
<br />a particular class, profession, trade, calling, race or denomination, or
<br />for the entertainment and instruction of any number of such classes,
<br />professions, trades, callings, races or denominations; that at all said
<br />times said newspaper had been established, printed and, published in
<br />the said City of Stockton, in said County and State, at regular
<br />intervals for more than one year preceding the first publication of the
<br />notice herein mentioned; that said notice was set in type not smaller
<br />than nonpareil and was preceded with words printed in black face
<br />type not smaller than nonpareil, describing and expressing in general
<br />terms, th rpo t and char ter f the notice intended t be given;

<br />In pursuance of an order of the Board
<br />of Supervisors of the County of San Joa-
<br />'quin, State of California made on the
<br />Gth day of February, 1906: you are here
<br />by notified that_ the said Board of Su-
<br />pervisors have appointed Tuesday, the 6th
<br />day of ?March, HOG, at 2 o'clock p. m., at
<br />the Courthouse, in the City of Stockton,
<br />as the time and place for hearing the re-,
<br />port of viewersappointed by the -said
<br />15oard of Supervisors on the aih day of
<br />December, 1905, , to view and locate a
<br />public road in Douglass township, as
<br />petitioned for by A. S. Drais et � al. The
<br />general route or description is as fol-
<br />lows, to -wit:
<br />Commencing for the center line at the
<br />section corner at the northwest corner,
<br />Of section 3, township 1 north, range 8
<br />east, M. D. B. and M.', and run thence
<br />south on the section line between sec-
<br />tions 3 and 4, 9 and 10, 15 and 16, to the
<br />-1 Sonora road, a distance of two miles and-
<br />2023 feet, and to be forty feet wide.
<br />We also find the course; termini and
<br />length of the proposed alternate road to
<br />he as follows: Commencing for the center
<br />line at the quarter section corner on the
<br />north line of section 3 township 1 north,
<br />range 8 east, M. D. B. and M., and run
<br />thence south through the center of sec-
<br />tions 3, 10 and 15 to the Sonora road; a
<br /><betance of two miles and 3075 feet, to
<br />e sixty feet w§de.
<br />And you are further notified to be pres-
<br />ent at said time and place and contest
<br />the approval of said report if you see
<br />fit and ' show cause, if any you have,
<br />Ahy said report should not be approv-
<br />and said road finally established.
<br />Said proposed road passes over the
<br />'land of C D. Benjamin, T. A. Benjamin,
<br />'Mrs. L. E. Eshbach, Newell & Newell,
<br />Mrs. M. A, Ford, Fannie Wright, Eva
<br />B Hewlett and EIizabeth H. Hough.
<br />Said proposed alternate road passes
<br />over the land of Newell & Newell, S. A.
<br />Carter, Eva B. Hewlett and Elizabeth
<br />H. Hough, San Joaquin Valley -Bank and
<br />D. E. and J. M. Young.
