There was up to 18 inches of stagnant water in the creek below Spans
2 and 3 during this investigation. Pier 3 was submerged and inspected with the aid of waders through clear water. All visible elements
were fully inspected. A complete routine inspection was performed.
NUMBERING CONVENTION
The alignment of the structure is from southeast to northwest making the location of Abutment 1 unclear. For this structure, the northwest
abutment is Abutment 1 and the southeast abutment is Abutment 6.
DECK AND ROADWAY
The AC on the deck at Abutment 6 was increased sometime before the last routine inspection. There is a 1 inch high mound that is 12
inches long x full lane width. See Photo 5 dated 11/10/2022.
The approach AC at Abutment 6 has transverse cracks up to 0.25 inches wide x full roadway width spaced 18 inches on center. See
Photo 5 dated 11/10/2022.
There is a vertical offset up to 3 inches in the shoulders of the approach roadway at Abutment 6.
SUBSTRUCTURE
There are two erosion gullies in the embankment slope at Abutment 1. The erosion gullies are up to 4 feet wide x 2 feet deep and run the
full height of the slope. (See Photo 1 and archived Photo 2 dated 11/04/2020).
