Probing at the pier noses was conducted by the
inspection diver to determine if the footings could be detected. No footings were detected.
UWI (09/02/2020): The walls of Piers 2 and 3 exhibited light abrasion in the splash/tidal zone. The abrasion exposed some of the
coarse aggregate, which remained attached to the concrete. A quantity of 14 feet (4 meters) at each pier will remain in CS2 for a total
of 8 meters in CS2.
There were no significant defects noted.
The pile element is included to indicate the presence of piles on this structure. The piles were not exposed for visual inspection. No
indication of pile distress was noted in any substructure element.
There were no significant defects noted.
