The actuator is over water and could not be inspected closely. Check the mounting bolts and investigate if the actuator rod is bent. Replace if necessary. The north west end lock actuator is wobbling when pulled. Tighten up the mounting bolts and investigate if the actuator is bent. The north navigation red light is not working. Replace the burned out light bulb. The incoming service meter cabinet is rusted and has a dent on it. Paint the cabinet. The end wedges are dry. Apply a layer of grease to the end wedge contact surfaces. The West off-going traffic gate at the northeast corner was not operable and had to be bypassed to open the bridge. A jumper cable was installed to bypass the lower limit switch to imitate that the traffic gate is closed. All traffic gates must be lowered to start the bridge opening sequence. Replace all traffic gates with new 120V single arm traffic gates. Some of the bridge machinery grease fittings have been greased recently, many others have not. Create a list of all the grease fittings on the bridge, and give each point a number and document the location. Go through the list and systematically grease every point on the bridge and document the date in the bridge log book. Repair the non-functioning bell mounted at the south-west traffic gate. Navigation lights ON pilot light indicator is not working. Its control wiring at navigation lights starter inside the motor control center is disconnected. Troubleshoot the wiring. West on-coming traffic gate did not work during the inspection. Check its control wiring to troubleshoot this problem.
