<br />section of rail to allow some amount of movement as is provided in bridge
<br />deck. P/ace -6"asbestos sheet packing between rail elements. Adjust bolts
<br />to provide sliding fit and set threads.
<br />Use 31- 6 "posts whenever possible. A // anchor -rods- to have hex. nuts.
<br />Provide lock washers for top anchor.rods. Weld 2� 'x4'XQ plates oii PW posts
<br />when using / onchor rods. Contractor to provide meta/ shims to align
<br />posts. Space_ pasts to clear -expansion joints by l'--O"min, to F_ post. Posts
<br />and anchors to be galvanized after fabrication. Failings on retaining
<br />walls to be placed after walls are backfi/led. Bend --rods /f necessary to
<br />maidtain minimum clearance on superelevated slabs.
