See Photo 4 dated 06/26/2018.
The bottom 12 inches of the abutments and Piers 2 and 3 have light scaling for the full width of the culvert. In a few places, this
condition has progressed to large, shallow spalls, exposing the large aggregate. The aggregate appears sound. See Photos 2 and 6
dated 06/26/2018. There is an outstanding work recommendation to clean the sediment out of the spans and test the soil for corrosive
conditions.
There is heavy efflorescence build up in the bottom half of Abutment 5 between the abutment face and the right wingwall. See Photo
5 dated 06/26/2018.
There is a 0.13 inch wide full height vertical crack with edge spalling in the left side of Abutment 5. Extending from this crack are full
width 0.02 inch wide discontinuous horizontal cracks spaced at 4 feet apart into Abutment 5. See Photo 1 dated 06/26/2018.
The abutments and Pier Walls 2, 3 and 4 have full height vertical cracks up to 0.02 inch wide and spaced as close as 4 feet on
center.
There is a 6 foot wide x 12 foot long x 2 foot deep scour hole along Abutment 1. See Photo 2.
The downstream invert is exposed up to 1.3 feet vertically for a length of 10 feet with no observed undermining at Pier 3. See Photo 4
dated 06/14/2020.
