Refer to Photo 8. <br />The pile element is included to indicate the presence of piles on this structure. The piles were not exposed for visual inspection. No <br />indication of pile distress was noted in any substructure element. <br />The slope paving to the left of Abutment 1 is experiencing some erosion from the roadway runoff. The slope paving is unsupported <br />for a 3.5 foot length and up to 16 inches underneath the paving. Refer to Photo 9.
