Spans 1 and 3 had
less than 12 inches of relatively slow moving water. The deck was inspected by walking on the bridge deck. The underside of the deck,
superstructure and substructure were inspected from the ground under the bridge. The submerged portions of Bents 2 and 3 were
inspected by wading and probing. A complete routine bridge inspection was performed.
MISCELLANEOUS
The Routine-Map View photo was replaced during this inspection cycle. Refer to Photo 1.
There is poison oak beneath the structure.
DECK AND ROADWAY
The previously reported cracks in the AC approaches at both ends of the bridge have been repaired. Refer to Photos 2 and 3.
Type P object markers were present at the corners of the bridge at the ends of the bridge rails.
WATERWAY
There is a washed out section of rock slope protection immediately downstream of Abutment 1 (right side). This washed out area is
approximately 15 foot x 100 foot. Refer to Photo 4.
A channel cross section was taken during this inspection and is included in this report. The flow was too high to get a thalweg depth, but
did not impede getting depth measurements near the supports. A comparison was made with the previous cross section taken on
03/18/2013. The channel degraded approximately 1.5 feet at Pier 2, but had no other significant changes.
INSPECTION COMMENTARY
- NOT APPLICABLE FOR THIS BRIDGE.
CONDITION INFORMATION
SPECIAL INSPECTION INFORMATION
