The deck was inspected by walking on the bridge deck. <br />The underside of the deck, superstructure, and substructure were inspected by recording using a phone on a selfie stick and reviewing <br />the footage. A complete routine bridge inspection was performed. <br />An Underwater Investigation was performed by the Caltrans Underwater Team on 01/11/2024 and follows the procedures of Section 5.4 <br />of the SM&I Inspection Procedures Manual. All elements listed in the "Underwater Elements Investigated" section of the report were <br />inspected. For more information, see the 01/11/2024 inspection report or the relevant elements in the element table. No scour issues <br />were found on any of the submerged elements. <br />A Fracture Critical Member Inspection was performed on 08/22/2023 by the Office of Specialty Investigations and Bridge Management. A <br />hands-on visual inspection was performed on: (i) the tension members of the left and right steel trusses in Spans 6 and 7, and (ii) the <br />steel floor beams in Spans 6 and 7. For more information, see the 08/22/2023 inspection report or the relevant elements in the element <br />table. No cracks were found. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />A new routine roadway photo was taken to capture the new bridge deck over the steel truss spans. Refer to Photo 1. <br /> <br />SUBSTRUCTURE <br />The timber lagging to the right of Abutment 1 is missing one row of lagging. The timber lagging to the left of Abutment 1 is missing one <br />row with an additional row rotting and breaking away. Refer to Photos 2 and 3. <br />ROADWAY CLEARANCE <br />There are vertical clearance signs that read 14 FT 8 IN at both approaches and bridge portals.
