There is a one foot long by two inch wide spall/rock pocket at the base of Pier 18 left side co-located with the <br />previous described spall (see Photo 15 BIR 01/19/2022). <br />There were no significant defects noted. <br />The top of the Pier 18 footing was previously exposed (see Photos 15 and 16 BIR 01/19/2022) and currently is minimally exposed but <br />embedded in shotcrete (see Photo 16). <br />Four of the piles along Bent 19 are exposed up to two feet (see Photos 17 and 18). <br />There are leakage stains on the pier caps at Bents 8 and 15 detailed under Item 2310 Leakage (Joints). There were no significant <br />defects noted. <br />Non-Routine Inspection Element Notes: <br />Hydraulic Inspection 10-22-2020: At Pier 18, 3 piles are exposed on the upsteam side of the pile cap. Undermining is 2 to 3 feet <br />vertical and tapers to no undermining approximately 1/2 the length of pile cap on the Span 18 side.
