There were no other significant defects noted. <br />The abutment quantity includes the monolithic wingwalls. There were no significant defects noted. <br />The pile element is included to indicate the presence of piles on this structure at the abutments. The piles were not exposed for <br />visual inspection. No indication of pile distress was noted in any substructure element. <br />The steel sheels at the top of the piles in Bent 3 are all exposed up to two feet (see Photo 8). Piles 2 and 4 in Bent 2 are exposed up <br />to eight inches (see Photo 9). The steel shells are rusted (see Photo 10). <br />The rock slope protection is at Abutment 5. There were no significant defects noted.
